In the previous book, The Enchantress Returns, Alex stayed in the Land of Stories while her brother Connor went back home. For the very first time, the twins were apart. One of them was going to school; meanwhile, the other was training to be part of the Fairy Council. Everything was fine, except for the fact that they could only see each other through a magic mirror.
Then Connor decided to part of a school-trip to Germany, where he could attend a reading of 3 unknown fairy tales, left behind by the Brothers Grimm. But when he hears them, the young boy realizes that these are more than simple bed-time stories. They're a warning that the Land of Stories might be in great danger, and it's Connor's job to warn them about the army of thousands that's threatening them.
Follow the Bailey twins in a new adventure in the Fairytale World. And I hope you read fast, because Chris Colfer is already writing a fourth sequel.
We love the idea of adapting the tales that accompanied our childhood, in order to make them stay with us through our teen years. The book has beautiful descriptions, especially when Connor is visiting some of Europe's greatest cities.
Chris Colfer succeeded once more in satisfying his readers, especially those who miss their early childhood.
